45+ Affordable Organic Baby Clothing Brands

Finding affordable organic baby clothing at an affordable price point sometimes feels like searching for a needle in a haystack.

There are a lot of cute baby clothes out there but how do you decide what to buy? When you have young children you want many organic options that are also available at affordable prices.

Luckily, there are a lot of affordable organic baby clothing brands to pick from!

Why Organic Baby Clothing Matters

When you purchase organic baby clothes, you are protecting your baby from harmful toxins that can be found in some dyes, metals, pesticides.

From cotton bud to the final-product onesie, there are many steps along the production process where the fabric and elements with the garment can be exposed to toxins.

All of which would end up resting on your baby’s skin. Not ideal.

GOTS Certified Organic Baby Clothes

When shopping for organic baby clothes, look for GOTS certified organic cotton.

GOTS, short for global organic textile standard, is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, which includes ecological and social criteria. This organic certification is important because the textile industry has not always been held to the highest standard.

The GOTS standard is backed by independent certification of the textile supply chain in its entirety, and having one common standard like GOTS means that textile processors and manufacturers can produce and export their fabric and garments that is accepted in all major markets, which gives consumers the purchasing power to choose organic products that are 100% truly organic.

It’s also even better if you can find an OKEO-TEX certification. There is very little baby apparel items made with the MADE SAFE seal, however, hopefully we will see more with this in the future.
