Best Baby Carrier For Disney World – Top Picks

The main thing we’re looking at here is comfort and support.

You will probably end up walking miles and miles carrying your baby through Disney and standing in a long line so you’ll want something that offers extra support and comfort.

1. The Baby K’tan Active Carrier – Best For Younger Babies

This is perfect for parents who want to be able to explore all of Disney World’s parks without having to worry about their little one. This carrier has a supportive waist belt that helps distribute your child’s weight, and it also comes with a built-in sunshade to keep your baby safe from the sun.

The Baby K’tan baby wrap is a quick and comfortable choice because it doesn’t have any rings, belts or buckles. You simply slip it overhead like a t-shirt.

It’s made of breathable hi-tech performance fabric and now with HeiQ HyProTecht technology, our hygienic baby carrier wicks away moisture and sweat to keep both parent and baby cool in the hot sun.

The infant carrier also blocks over 90% of the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays. Which can be extra helpful in the bright sun.

This carrier also holds your baby in hip-healthy positions up to 35 lbs.

This would be an ideal choice if you aren’t expecting to wear your baby all day. I would pick the K’tan over something like the Moby Wrap or a soft structured carrier because it offers more support.

Alternative for babies under six months:

If you know your baby will mostly be worn, consider the Solly Baby wrap too. Wrap carriers would not be my personal top choice unless you know you will be wearing baby most of the time and not going on rides.

This is because they aren’t as quick to take on and off as the buckles carriers. However, if you have a small baby that won’t be on rides who you are nursing, I’d consider this.

2. The Ergobaby Omni Breeze – Best For Toddlers

This one is a great choice for those hot summer days at Disney World. This carrier has a breathable mesh panel that will keep both you and your baby cool, and it also comes with an adjustable hood to protect your little one from the sun.

This carrier is Rated #1 in Airflow. It is designed with SoftFlex Mesh to maximize airflow and keep you and your baby cool and dry all day long.

This carrier has a long lifespan too. It ranges from 0 to approximately 48 months or 7-45lbs. Each Ergobaby carrier comes with a warranty so if anything happens to it you’ll be able to get it replaced.

It offers all carry positions, including inward, front-facing outward, hip carry, and back carry.

In terms of support, it has cushioned shoulder straps and padded lumbar support for ergonomic comfort. These can be used in two ways: regular or as crossed shoulder straps.

Additionally, Ergobaby has created Everlove, a first-of-its-kind baby carrier buy back and restoration program. Ergobaby will buy back your previously loved Ergobaby carriers and breathes new life into them for new families to enjoy.

This would be a good idea to invest in if you have older babies or are taking more than one child to Disney.

It’s also adjustable so other caregivers can wear it too. It has two-way adjustable straps, an extendable back panel, lumbar support, and an adaptable seat creating near limitless options for an ergonomic fit.

What to consider in a carrier for Disney World:

Ease of use:

You want a carrier that is easy to put on and take off, so you don’t have to waste any time fiddling with it.

It’s also nice if more than one caregiver can easily wear it and adjust it. I think a wrap is a good option for this (like Solly Baby) or the Boppy ComfyFit.

Comfort:

A comfortable carrier is a must for Disney World, as you’ll be doing a lot of walking. Look for features like adjustable straps and a padded waist belt to help take some of the strain off of your back.

Also something soft is a good choice. Be sure to wear your baby in the carrier a few times before getting to the theme parks. This way you will be familiar with it once you’re there.

Breathability:

It can get hot at Disney World, so you’ll want a carrier that is made from a breathable fabric. This will help keep both you and your baby cool.

I like the mesh for this purpose too.

Sun protection:

A built-in sunshade or an adjustable hood is a great feature to have in a carrier for Disney World. This will help keep your little one safe from the sun.

I always kept a hat on my little one and drape a swaddle blanket over him to help protect him from the sun.

Durability:

A carrier for Disney World needs to be durable enough to stand up to all of the walking and exploring you’ll be doing. Look for a carrier that is made from high-quality materials.

Can you baby wear at Disney?

This was a question I had on my first trip to Disney and the answer is yes!

Yes, you can wear your baby at Disney World. In fact, it’s a great way to keep them close while you explore all the park has to offer. Just be sure to choose a carrier that is comfortable and easy to use.

You can wear your baby on all transport and trams but they have to be in the front carry position. They do not allow back carry on these. This is to make sure the baby has proper neck support and to prevent injury.

Something that also surprised me is that you can wear your baby on rides. All of the story rides (like “It’s a Small World”) allow you to babywear. Here I am wearing my son on the Dumbo ride at Disneyland:

I felt way safer doing this than just holding him, so I think it was a good call. I also liked having the mesh because it was cooler for him in the warmer climate.

As a side note, always check the height requirement and safety requirements on each individual ride before you get on!

What not to use:

I would avoid ring sings personally and backpack carriers as Disney does not allow you to back carry on rides or transportation.

I also would bring a stroller personally. Something lightweight that the baby can sit in when eating and to carry your diaper bag. Even something simple that your infant car seat can fit in would work.

It’s also nice to have a stroller so you can set them up with a fan on hot days (seriously this is some of the best money you will ever spend on your baby!). Something like the Snap’N’Go would be a good choice.

Unless your baby is a newborn, I don’t recommend a ring sling. They’re just a bit too unsupported and hot for a day out at Walt Disney World.

In Summary: Best Baby Carrier For Disney World

No matter which carrier you choose, you’re sure to have a hassle-free vacation with your little one in tow. And, with one of these carriers, you’ll be able to explore all of the amazing attractions that Disney World has to offer.

Disney also has amazing baby care center setups throughout the parks so make sure you know where those are. Enjoy your Disney vacation to the happiest place on Earth!
