La Marine Skincare Moisturizing Cream Review

La Marine Skincare is a skincare company bringing us cutting edge ingredients inspired by the sea. Their unique formulations offer many benefits to the skin not provided by other skincare companies! They are making skincare innovative using the latest sea-inspired technologies.

When I learned their moisturizing cream contained jellyfish extract, hydrolyzed sponges, and pearls for collagen stimulation, a micro-needling effect, and bringing moisture to the skin, I had to try it out for myself.

La Marine Skincare believes that since 95% of our planet is underwater, the sea offers us endless benefits. They utilize three incredible ingredients to formulate their Moisturizing Cream.

These top three star ingredients include: jelly fish extract, hydrolyzed sponges, and pearl powder.

Their philosophy for skincare comes from the fact that marine animals use oceanic ingredients and their environments to care for their skin.

For example, dolphins have been observed running against coral and sponges that contain antioxidants and antimicrobial agent to treat skin conditions.

There are endless benefits that the sea offers us in terms of skincare. Let’s dive in (pun intended) to the unique ingredients in the La Marine Skincare Moisturizing Cream!

The Ingredients

Let’s take a deeper look into the ingredients of La Marine Skincare’s Moisturizing Cream:

• Jellyfish Extract: Jellyfish extract offers benefits very similar to human collagen and repairs elastin protein collagen.
• Hydrolyzed Sponges: Including hydrolyzed sponges offers a micro-needling effect to the skin which allows the other ingredients (like pearl powder) to penetrate the skin.
• Pearl Powder: Pearl powder offers antioxidants to the skin and promotes collagen production
• Sodium Hyaluronate: This ingredients helps attract moisture in skin cells to reduce dryness and flaking by increasing skin hydration.
• Beta-Glucan: Helps lock in hydration and prevents moisture loss, resulting in smoother and more supple skin, a strengthened skin barrier, and neutralized free radicals.
• Allantoin: Moisturizes skin to prevent dryness and irritation while being suitable for sensitive skin.
• Arginine: This ingredient keeps your skin firm, plump, and smooth.

How To Apply The Moisturizer

Because of the unique nature of this moisture, you’ll likely experience a tingling effect.

This is because the sponge spicules make tiny punctures to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin.

It is a normal feeling but of course discontinue use if you experience an extreme reaction.

Their suggested application method is to begin with a dot of the moisturizer on the back of your hand. Using your ring finger, dot it around your face and avoid the under-eye area.

Then, gently smooth it around your face until absorbed.

I suggest starting with a small amount to see how your skin reacts and go from there.

The application is an interesting experience. I was curious to try it because of the unique micro-needling effect. I had never used a product like this before and I was super curious to try it out.

I definitely felt the tingling sensation but it was really mild and went away quickly. I personally kind of liked it because I felt like it was truly working!

The Packaging

The packaging is also super luxurious. It comes in an outer blue box that comes off to reveal an inner pink/purple box.

The lid to that is then removed to reveal the moisturizer. It is a brilliant presentation and experience to open.

Results

The results for using the La Marine Skincare Moisturizing Cream include:

• Moisturized skin: The cream is thick and luxurious and my skin felt more hydrated after applying it!
• Reduced dryness: My skin felt less dry and more hydrated after using it even just for a week
• Less visible fine lines and wrinkles: As someone with aging skin, I am always hoping to reduce and slow down the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. My skin definitely feels plump after using this moisturizer!
• Radiant skin: my skin definitely feels and looks very glowy and healthy after I apply this moisturizer

The La Marine Skincare Moisturizing Cream did not increase my redness, in fact I actually think it helps reduce it even right after application!

I was a bit nervous about this, especially because of the hydrolyzed sponges, but I am actually very pleased with the results!

If you suffer from skin redness like me, don’t be afraid to try this one out. It’s very hydrating and the sponges help the other star ingredients penetrate the skin more deeply for plumping and hydrating.

I have been applying the moisturizer at night following cleansing and my serum.

I was worried that the tingling would be too much but for my experience it was a gently tingling sensation that went away quickly.

The texture is truly outstanding. It’s a thicker cream but absorbs quickly. I don’t feel any residue leftover on my skin and found it absorbs well.

Overall Thoughts On The La Marine Skincare Moisturzing Cream

Overall I think it is a great moisturizer at a really great price. The unique effect and great ingredients are worth trying, especially if you are experiencing signs of aging.

The price is great too for the amount of product you get. The cream offers a generous 1.7oz of product which is a great amount for a moisturizer.

I’m glad to have La Marine Skincare and their unique sea-inspired ingredients as part of my skincare routine!
